Baltic Sea Strategy Point

The Baltic Sea Strategy Point (BSP) has been operating since October 2022. The office is jointly hosted by Centrum Balticum in Turku and the Free and Hanseatic City of Hamburg.

The Strategy Point is a support unit for the EU Strategy for the Baltic Sea Region (EUSBSR). The work focuses on four core tasks:

Development. The Strategy Point supports developing the EUSBSR, including maintaining the monitoring and evaluation processes. Well-functioning monitoring system enables critical discussions and development.

Coordination. The Strategy Point facilitates knowledge-sharing and dialog amongst the core EUSBSR actors. Active cooperation supports more effective channeling of EU funding to projects developing the Baltic Sea Region.

Administration. The Strategy Point is responsible for the EUSBSR administration, provides technical and administrative support to the core actors, and strengthens the continuation of the work. As a result, the National Coordinators' and the Policy Area Coordinators' work gets easier and more efficient.

Communication. The Strategy Point maintains and develops the internal and external communication of the EUSBSR. This includes distributing information about the strategy implementation, communication support to the key stakeholders, and promoting visual consistency of communication about the EUSBSR.

Employees of Strategy Point maintain the EUSBSR website and social media channels (Twitter, LinkedIn, Flickr, and Youtube).
